HELPPPPPPP!!!!!!!
We always keep the content free on The PME and always intend on keeping that way. A big part in that is us being able to sell of our positions on the podcast charts. WE NEED YOUR HELP to get to the top. (Except in Ireland, where we’re already there. Shout out Mayo County!) I’m even throwing in $500 cash to one lucky person who helps get us over the finish line. So, beyond subbing and downloading (especially the shows from this week you haven’t already), go leave a 5-Star review on Apple Podcast or Spotify and get 15 ballots a piece in the draw $500. Plus, it really does help out the show.

US OPEN BETS
I added two Top 10s from yesterday’s cheatsheet, but that’s it. (Get full bet reasoning here). Once I went with Rahm and had Homa in the chamber for 4 months, there was very little else I could do.

No Research Takes
I’ve been playing with this idea for a while. Now, part of my job is to look far too deeply into courses, fields, picks, etc, but a lot of the time that can do more harm than good when trying to actually win money at this stuff. So, here are some general observations about the US Open from a very zoomed out point of view…
No one is playing better than Hovland on a weekly basis and over the past few Majors. He’s probably going to win.
2. If you’re not an elite driver, just fuck off at US Opens.
3. Creativity and style are worth a lot, but the leaderboard at the US Open is annually over populated with the boring players. Good drive, GIR to 35-feet, two putt for par. Don’t get sucked into impossible pins. It’s the Brooks/DJ method. Of all the non-elite players, the one person who springs to mind is Keegan Bradley. Corey Conners is another.
4. Looking like a default person in create-a-player mode seems to help you at this event. You want someone who’d be fired from Chotchkie’s quicker than Jennifer Aniston for lack of flare.
WEATHER
The weather is down in the morning each of the first two days. But projected wind gusts Thursday and Friday won’t get higher than 13mph, so hit’s really nothing to worry about.

FOOTBALL!!!!!!
I haven’t forgotten about you, the loyal football fan. I chatted with Pete Overzet about early Best Ball drafts and the different strategies he’s seeing so far, along with the games people are targeting in Week 17 as their primary and secondary stacks. Then we just talk about random other shit. Always my favorite part.

US OPEN DRAFTKINGS
Once you get past Xander on the salary list, it becomes an absolute crap shoot. Outside of Spieth, Hatton, and Hideki, almost everyone else is flirting with single digit ownership. This means, that the most generic lineup is likely to start Scottie (expected to be the highest owned of the top end, and maybe overall) then adding in Xander or Spieth.

There will be different variations of this type of lineup (Rahm or Brooks with two of Spieth, Hatton/Hideki) and the result almost always leaves you in the same area to fill out your roster: The low 7K range.
When Tambo and I started to make these lineups on the show Wednesday, it became pretty clear that almost all the generic starting points lead down this path. Now, there’s one of two ways to play this. Well, three, I suppose, if you take the obvious names and just have 1vs1 with 25,000 people in large GPPs. But really, you can choose to just pluck a few low owned players and pray for the best (like you can see I did with my stars in the previous graphic) or just play two 6K guys and have at it. There’s a weird mental block a lot DraftKings players are having this week about going past 7K. It’s not a line of demarcation; it’s an arbitrary point. Many of the 6K guys are better or the same as the low 7s.

From the 7-7.4K range expect Si Woo, Denny, Mito, Henley, and for some reason Eric Cole to be the default choice for many. You don’t need too fade those guys if you like them, it’s not like they’ll be 25% owned, but a lot of their ownership will be tied to Spieth/Hatton/Hideki/Xander as an FYI.
No one in the 6K is getting too much love. Fantasy National is showing interest in Schnek, Sam Stevens and Sam Bennett. I have my doubts any of those guys crack 5% after the general public makes lineups, though.
Not following me has done you much good in you life, but in full transparency, these are the players I included in my pool of 150 lineups this week.
Good Luck this week. Someone go win a milly!
