ZURICH CLASSIC
Welcome to pure guessing week. I mean, that’s every week any way, but this week feels even more guess worky. If anyone is proclaiming they have a good grasp on a team golf event they’re so full of shit it would take three plumbers to fix sort out the issues.
BREAKING NEWS UPDATE
Vote for WAFFLE CONE in this poll.
Not just because it’s the proper choice, but because Cust said this…
If we can get this to 2% on his side, I’d truly love it.
Back to golf…
I get coming up with narratives, talking about the “why,” it’s most of my job, but no one knows with this. Didn’t stop me from betting tho. Maybe recognizing I know less than usual is how I break the cold streak?
If Oscar Sanches with this week on EURO, Skylar Hoke is going to become a star overnight, and I’m going to recoup the down payment I just put on my house. So I’m here for it. Also, I basically tailed their picks and added Beer Garden at 300/1 because he used to be good. That’s my hard hitting analysis on EURO.
After giving out Catlin 70/1 last week, and saving my bankroll, the EURO PICKS show has over taken the Dog or Pass Podcast UFC Picks as the most profitable show on Mayo Media Network for the last month. DOP drops Wednesday night for the UFC PPV this week. Always a great watch/listen. So do that too.
Shout out to Moose for grinding over the weekend to make Fantasy National compatible for the new Zurich Classic DraftKings game. He’s updated the lineup generator and ownership projections to make it easy to use. While this week is a crapshoot on DraftKings, it looks like there could be some overlay in the bigger contests, and the ability to make 25 lineups very quick and easy could be a huge advantage this week. You can still get 20% a Fantasy National Membership here, and it’s not a bad week to try it out and get used to how everything works with another Major approaching soon.

NFL DRAFT
Like many of you, I have no fucking clue about most College Football players, so I’m going to be spending the week learning as much as possible on the show. Over the next week I’m going to have RB & WR previews, Draft Props, and the MEGA Mock Draft show if you want to learn along with me.
The Mock Draft is one of the most fun shows of the year. This year Thor and Ray will be the ones breaking everything down. Expect it out sometime on Sunday.
MLB
The Daily MLB show keeps producing winners. It’s been especially at taking down the $$$ on Prize Picks. If you haven’t tried Prize Picks yet, it’s essentially a prop parlay for all spots.
I suggest giving it go, and if you use this link, and enter code “MMNMLB” on the deposit page, they’ll match your deposit up to $100. Just go in for $20 and test it out. The golf (no so much for this week) is really beatable on Prize Picks.
OSCARS
There’s a whole lotta chalk that’s going to hit at the Oscars, so if you’re in an Oscars Picks Pools just eat all the chalk and hope to get lucky in Best Animated Short. That’s how you win those things. I’ll have the full Category-by-Category Picks on Thursday PME (along with 30 mins of me and Cust yelling at each other about movies as a bonus add on to the show).
Supporting Actress: Glenn Close +1000 & Amanda Seyfried +3300
Youn Yuh-jung (-500) is the fav in this one but this category loves an upset. They could finally choose to reward Glenn Close in what could be her last ever nomination or even Amanda Seyfried as the longest shot on the board.
Best Actress: Viola Davis +200
Many consider Davis to be this generations Meryl Streep. But it’s tough to be called that without a win in this category. Carey Mulligan is currently the betting favor (+125), and is putting on a publicly push — ie. hosting SNL — however it seems, unless things go off the rails, that the Academy will reward Promising Young Woman in the form of its writer/director, Emerald Fenell, in the screenplay category.
Best Visual Effects: The Midnight Sky +275
People in the movie industry really didn’t like Christoper Nolan’s TAEKS on the release of Tenet, hence just two nominations. While it’s the favorite here, a blind fade seems like a decent stab at almost 3/1.
Best Documentary: Time +450
I saw the favorite in this category, The Octopus Teacher (-450), it’s fine. In fact, the underwater footage is pretty incredible. But you never see Planet Earth win anything. And the guy at the center of the movie is kind of a big weirdo. Have no clue what it’s about, but I’m going with the long shot second favorite, Time.
Bets Editing: Trial of the Chicago Seven -110
It’s a two-horse race between this and Sound of Metal for Best Editing, unless Nomadland takes this en route to Best Picture. There’s always a thing where all the Best Picture nominees pick up a win somewhere down the line, and this may be Chicago Seven’s only win of the night. Sound of Metal is almost a lock for Best Sound (go figure), so go the other way in this Category.
The Oscars betting show is already out btw. Download the Pod even if you don’t give a fuck to boost the numbers for the show. Or just watch the Vid
UPCOMING CONTENT
Finally, I’m going to be moving across the country in just over a week, so expect some delay on the golf show for the Wells Fargo, if we can even record it. Don’t worry though, there’s still going to be content every day to make up for it. The 2021 CUSTY AWARDS will be out that Monday, which is probably the best show of the year every year, a mid-season award show with Geoff and I for golf, UFC DK Strategy show, a new Cust Corner, more golf stuff with fun guests, and the Gambling Movie Club will air then too.
If you haven’t watched Owning Mahowny yet, there’s still time.
