We’ve partnered with JOCK MKT for football season, and so far BIG JOHN Laghezza has been plucking the values from the high and low end. If you haven’t played JOCK MKT yet, it’s essentially a stock market for players, so you buy them a one price for the week and see if they turn a profit. It’s legit great if you only want to play for a little bit of cash per week. Find your penny stock players and cash. They’ve benee a good partner to us at MMN, so give them a shot and let us know what you think. I haven’t heard a bad word about it yet. And here’s some bribery…

FORTINET CHAMPIONSHIP
Yes. Golf is BACKKKKKKK… to lose money on. We actually pumped out an amazing amount of golf content this week, mainly thanks to our guy Skylar Hoke. He joined me on The PME to breakdown the Fortinet DK pricing, make some bets, and discuss his favorite PGA Rookies

Brendan Steele — I’ll be a fish and back two-time winner Brendan Steele. Steele was a Top 5 ball striking in the world over the two months leading into the playoffs, and then it all went away at tougher courses against strong fields. Well, that’s no longer an issue. Silverado is a pure ball stickers track, and you can even win while losing strokes putting. It makes sense why he’s played well here.
Luke List — Much like Steele, if it’s a course that demands good ball striking, where distance is a plus, and awful putting can be overcome, you’d be crazy not to back List. He’s the 12th highest ranked player in this field and over 100/1.
JJ Spaun — Always a threat in California, JJ ended the season gaining over 2 strokes T2G in three of final 4 event, including a T42 in Memphis where he held the 54 hole in a playoff event.
Now, Sky gave me the Cliff Notes version of the rookies, but he blew out the 50 newcomers with Ryan French (Monday Q Info), doing a deep dive on all the rookies we’ll see this season.
If that wasn’t enough, Sky and Tom Jacobs broke down the field and made their bets for this week’s Italian Open. Not only is that field far superior than the wine tasting week in Napa, it’s also the site of next year’s Ryder Cup, and a lot of the Top EUROS are playing

Top finish off the week of Sky on MMN, we caually got into a convo. about Run The Sims for some reason during the golf show, and how he liked how quickly he could make lineups for Second Half and 4thQ showdown contests, revealing he was a poart of a 1st place split on opening night. So what happened on MNF?

WEEK 2 GALAXY BRAIN: Two Chalks And A Pivot
We all watched football last week. Lots of it. And after all of that, what sticks out most to you? It could be a number of things, but I’d guess the first game of the season is the answer for most. Rams not named Cooper Kupp were BRUTAL in that second half. Are they bad football players or did they just have a tough time … in an island game … in a game that is currently 100% of their statistical profile for this season? While I think people in this space will be all over buying the dip on Matthew Stafford and Allen Robinson, it’s important to remember that most people in the DFS streets are not as locked in as you loyal MMN members!

Outliers and usage. One receiver last season had a game with 45 routes and no more than 2 targets (Breshad Perriman). That’s what Allen Robinson did last week. Either he’s good and the production follows his strong role or he sucks and the Rams take him off the field. I’m betting more on the former than the latter and I think rostering him comes with some leverage. Want to get crazy? Stafford-Robinson-Higbee stack with a Kyle Pitts bring back. Higbee is one of 5 tight ends averaging at least 9.5 PPG while accounting for at least 16% of his teams routes since the beginning of last season (the others: Andrews, Pitts, Kelce and Schultz), so he’s another one where I’m trusting the process over the results with. Pitts is obviously special, so put him in there and we are talking unique with a capital U.
I don’t usually like chalk defenses, but that’s seemingly the only defense for not taking the Bengals ($2,200 at DAL) this week and why would I care about chalk when I have a two-TE lineup built around a non-Cooper Kupp Rams stack? You now have $6,600 left per player to fill this thing out. Three RB/WR skinny stacks jump out to me at a glance: Jonathan Taylor/Christian Kirk, D’Andre Swift/Terry McLaurin and Javonte Williams/Brandin Cooks. Tinker with that sort of roster build and you’ve got yourself a helluva lottery ticket for GPP’s.
Chalk love: Tyler Boyd (If no Tee Higgins)
- Volume spike likely
- DAL numbers vs the slot last season are heavily impacted by a high opponent drop rate (far from sticky)
Chalk fade: Jeff Wilson
- Trey Lance had 8 designed runs in Week 1
- Fewer catches than games played in his career
- SEA operated at the 3rd slowest pace in Week 1
