The Sentry
Oh, golf is back. The One and Done doesn’t start until next week at the Sony Open, but we have the year’s first event in Hawaii this week.
I’ve already bet List at 90/1 & Kitiyama at 125/1 (both with 5 Places as well). I went over why in the research show!

Oh, and I made my power ranks for the event. Disregard Rory, he’s not playing.

Week 17 DraftKings
Based on that injury report from above, you better bet I have some reworking to do with my DK lineups. Tambo and I build out Jacoby Brissett LUs (maybe it’s for the better actually) but the biggest flips are Mostert being OUT creating a very intriguing low-owned Achane at $6,700. And Pacheco and Brian Robinson (likely) returning and moving all the ownership from the low $5k range at RB on to Zamir White.
See..
Many will have the CMC/White combos it would appear. Can’t blame them. If you have the guts, you can pivot down to Najee (gross) or try to find the money to get into the upper $5K range. If you need cheap options at WR to facilitate that, Noah Brown ($5,100), Shaheed ($4,600), Clark ($3,600), Demarcus Robinson ($4,600), Greg Dotrch ($4,200) are among the many you can roll the dice on. If you want to
Tambo and crew have you covered GOING LIVE at 945 am ET on MMN. So they’ll talk you through the different options to build.
DFS NOTES
STACKS
Brock Purdy and Brandon Aiyuk (at Commanders): The Commanders give up over 30 PPG while no other defense allows even 27. This 49ers pass game laying an egg in primetime last week figures to suppress ownership in at least some capacity and that doesn't hurt. Add in the variety of ways to stack this offense and I'm not worried about a chalky build. Aiyuk's past six games when Purdy throws for 250+ yards:
- 113 yards
- 126 yards
- TD
- 156 yards, TD
- TD
- 109 yards
GAME THEORY
Patrick Mahomes (vs. Bengals): It costs no more than $800 to pay up for the elite QBs currently playing at a higher level, so Mahomes could get squeezed a bit (especially with Fields and Stroud price just below him in favorable spots). A motivated Mahomes at reasonable ownership against the worst per pass defense in the league? Am I missing something?
De'Von Achane (at Ravens): Raheem Mostert is battling a shin injury and that is likely to keep him OUT. Obviously the matchup is brutal and if people are tempting fate, they are more likely to target the slate breaking potential of Tyreek Hill (especially with Jaylen Waddle at less than full strength). That could result in a very low ownership number for an explosive runner who is averaging a tick under 8.0 yards per touch this season. The floor is low, but the ceiling is more than enough to build a GPP lineup around.
RUNNING BACK - PUNT
Tyjae Spears (at Texans): The talented rookie has seen at least 6 targets in three of his past four games and owns a 74% catch rate this season. If he can repeat the 14 touches he earned last week, he figures to return nice value against the defense that misses the second most tackles per game. Spears is priced with Matt Breida and Jordan Mason.
TIGHT ENDS
Isaiah Likely (vs. Dolphins): His aDOT is 1.5 yards lower than that of Mark Andrews and Todd Monken is pretty clearly trying to get him in space with the ball. That's a good way to get exposure to this offense against a defense that misses the eight most tackles per game.
Gerald Everett (at Broncos): Betting on Easton Stick's offense may not be for the faint of heart, but with exactly 8 targets in three straight games, it doesn't require much to pay off this price tag, a tag that is around that of Pat Freiermuth and Logan Thomas ... he has a strong floor/ceiling case than either of them and I'm not sure it's close.
D/ST
Colts (vs. Raiders): DFS can be a reactionary game and with the Colts posting a negative fantasy point total against the Falcons last week, boxscore watchers aren't going to land here. But how about them clearing 10 fantasy points in five of six games prior? They own the lowest blitz rate in the league, so if Indy can score early and make Vegas one-dimensional, we are talking about Aidan O'Connell throwing 35-ish passes into heavy coverage. That'll work!
Broncos (vs. Chargers): The battle of backups might not be a fun watch, but that doesn't mean we can't profit. Denver ranks 6th in blitz rate and, to be honest, I'm not sure Stick is comfortable in a clean pocket, let alone a crowded one.
