GOLF IS BACK!!!!!!
The Race for the MAYO CUP is BACK for 2022. And the prize pool is BIGGER this time around. It’s one pick in golf per week for the season, $125 per entry, up to five entries. So there’s $625 in dead money just from me.
If you’re a higher (or lower) roller, there are contests for you as well. This doesn’t start until the second week in January, but based on last year, it may be filled by New Year’s day. so GET IN NOW!!!!!
PLAY: GOLF ONE AND DONE LEAGUE
SPOLIER: There may be private leagues coming as well if you wanna take on your buddies.
Additionally, we always want to make sure Fantasy National is up to snuff for tools and data, and I’m FIRED UP to announce a BRAND NEW feature to the site. If you click on “Distance/Accuracy” on each player profile, you can now see how players shape the ball off the tee! I know this is something people have be looking for for years and now we’ve got it.

WEEK 16 PLAYER NOTES
Josh Allen averages just 16.2 fantasy PPG for his career against the Patriots, a number that drops to 13 if you remove an outlier blowout. That trend could continue with JC Jackson potentially limiting the pass game potential and New England’s ability to employ a spy given that they create pressure without `blitzing at the 2nd highest rate in the NFL.
Hunter Henry leads the NFL in percentage of targets that come in the red zone. And in the end zone. He’s always a thin play, but at least you have the usage to hang your hat on.
The Jets allow a league-high 4.5 red zone drives per game and opponents pick up over 36% of their yards vs NYJ on the ground, a top-10 rate. Trusting a Jaguar isn’t fun, but you have my blessing to do it with James Robinson in both DFS and season long.
Mini correlation in that ugly, small screen, will hardly be watched but the numbers still count Jags/Jets game? Jacksonville is the worst defense in terms of completion percentage and Jamison Crowder has seen 79.5% of his targets this season come when lined up in the slot.
Less a note and more of a set-up to the Galaxy Brain segment … I think there’s a world in which Joe Burrow (416 yards and 3 TD two months ago against a healthier version of this Ravens defense) is the 3rd best fantasy QB this week. He’s currently priced as QB3 in his own game.
GALAXY BRAIN: FADE WEEK 15
Grudges. They are a dangerous. That’s good life advice from good ole Pat Mayo and as good as it is in terms of real life, I think it’s even better should we ever make it to the Week 16 main slate.
Did you play Cordarrelle Patterson last week? What about Ja’Marr Chase? If so, you more than likely lost money. Did you burn one of your first picks this summer for your redraft league on Saquon Barkley? If so, the fantasy playoffs probably aren’t your thing and that’s why you’re looking to DraftKings for some DFS action this week. Hate to break it to you … but holding a grudge against those three players may turn out to be as big a mistake as the aforementioned transgressions. Let me explain.
Why your Week 15 process was fine (the result just wasn’t):
Patterson: He was playing a defense that ranked 27th in yards per play over the 6 weeks prior, he had seen 5 targets OR hit a 100-yard bonus in 4 straight games when fully healthy and plays for arguably the most conservative offense this side of Detroit.
Chase: An obviously explosive talent facing a defense that allowed serious production to three of the past four WR1’s they faced and entered the week as a bottom-5 unit in terms of opponent deep TD rate.
Barkley: Entered action on Sunday with 17+ touches in 3 straight games, was facing a opportunistic defense that *should* lead to a more conservative game plan and thus more fantasy friendly usage for a freak athlete in an underdog game script.
Why you should go back to the well in Week 16:
Patterson: This should be a game for all four quarters and that’s a bonus. Here are Patterson’s stat lines in games decided by a single possession this season: 59 yards (TD), 135 yards (2 TD), 136 yards, 72 yards (TD), 61 yards (TD), 114 yards, 116 yards (3 TD) and 102 yards. Not bad for a floor against a Lions defense that allows the 4th most yards per RB target and the 6th highest rush TD rate to backs
Chase: Unless this is real life Space Jam, he still holds the talent that we saw early in the year and he faces a defense that gives up the 3rd most deep completions per game and allows the highest percentage of opponent yards to come through the air. Joe Burrow is still happy to chuck it down field (deep TD pass in 4 straight), so Chase should have his chances to make plays and make plays in bunches.
Barkley: The usage continued through last week (another 19 touches and 23 opportunities) and he faces a team that is coming in on short rest, has struggled recently in preventing yards after contact to RBs (3rd worst entering tonight since Week 10) and is bottom-10 in terms of TD prevention in the red zone.
Toss those ingredients in with a double stack/bring back along with a cheap (but increasingly blitz happy defense in a pressure creating matchup) and you might well dig yourself out of holiday debt before the weekend ends!
Week 16 Spread Picks
Best Bets show coming a day early this btw. The overall spread picks contest is coming down to the wire, and a bad Mayo/Geoff week, based on the picks made, would mean Cust would be in a position to close the gap with two weeks to go. Or take himself completely out of it. He’s in dead heat with THE COIN right now.

Here’s what I’m rolling. LET’S GOOOO!!!!!
Here are the Top Six WR/TE projections for DK points for TNF based on my Run The Sims adjustments. However, I don’t think Julio gets through the game with the hamstring, so full fade on him.
The unders for Julio have far less vig than the others books I’ve looked at. Better numbers too.
Think my projections are horrible? You may not be wrong. But you can make your own custom adjustments at Run The Sims.
