Week 15 Team By Team Notes
CHI: Hopefully this offense can be a little more useful over the final two weeks of the fantasy season (vs AZ, vs ATL) ... I'm playing DJ Moore as long as Justin Fields is active, but likely not trusting any other skill guy on this roster.
CLE: David Njoku continues to see elite volume, something that has been the case ever since Deshaun Watson was lost for the season. I'm not positive he's going to do a ton with those looks, but any sort of projectable volume at the TE position is appealing.
TB: In the month prior to Week 15 (5 games), Chris Godwin had 191 receiving yards. Total. His performance in Lambeau was encouraging if you somehow landed on him, but not near comfortable in calling it predictive of weeks to come.
GB: Jayden Reed's TD on a scramble drill from Jordan Love was as pretty as it gets -- he's their most reliable option. Period. I don't care who is healthy at RB or WR, Reed is the straw that stirs this drink.
HOU: Noah Brown was the last man standing in the Texan WR room and he made it work in a plus-matchup. Next week figures to be a different animal with Stroud/Collins back -- Brown will be more of a risk/reward flex option than anything.
TEN: Derrick Henry wasn't the victim of game script ... he just wasn't good. I think you're still starting him down the stretch, but not with a ton of confidence and certainly not with the preseason expectations that you had for The Big Dog.
NYJ: I don't care who is playing QB in New York -- putting your fantasy season in the hands of any Jet is downright terrifying. Garrett Wilson and Breece Hall are talented enough to make it work on occasion, but not weekly.
MIA: Tyreek Hill sits and Jaylen Waddle clears 100 yards on a 41.2% target share in the first half. Tua rarely holds elite value, but there's no denying that the WR1 in this scheme is a great spot to be! Oh, and Raheem Mostert broke the Dolphins record for TDs in a season ... both RBs and both WRs are lineup locks.
KC: It's a badge of honor once you've been used in an Andy Reid napkin play inside the red zone and Rashee Rice checked that box in this game, seeming the last thing he has to do before being considered a strong WR2 in all fantasy formats. Zero. That is how much thought you should be putting into Rice based lineup decisions at this point.
NE: Consecutive weeks of nice volume for Hunter Henry and he now deserves to be on the top 12 radar. Another boring tight end, but boring TEs with volume are better than the alternative.
NYG: Darren Waller returned and looked like about a dozen other TEs that can be streamed with little confidence. If you're piecing together the position, Waller should be on your radar, but he's not a must add.
NO: No Chris Olave meant the targets being spread thin instead of elevating the value of any one player. I was hopeful that Shaheed would see an uptick in this good matchup, but no such luck. Taysom Hill remains a viable TE option due to his versatility, but it is always going to come with a wide range of outcomes.
ATL: We should have known better. The recent usage of Bijan Robinson was encouraging, but the powers of Arthur Smith or greater. Fun.
CAR: The volume of Hubbard is enough to put him in the Flex conversation, but let's not act like there's much upside to chase here. He's the only Panther I have interest in -- Adam Thielen's volume is nothing but empty calories at this point.
BUF: James Cook has 5 straight games with at least 100 scrimmage yards and doesn't seem to be slowing any time soon. Feel free to complain about the short yardage usage ... I'll take the production and run through my fantasy league!
DAL: CeeDee Lamb saves you with a garbage time rush TD. Nothing to see here, wouldn't adjust two months of elite production based on a bad 60 minutes.
LAR: Demarcus Robinson pays off a low volume day with the late TD. I'm not comfortable starting the 4th option in this offense. He can be rostered, but not going there with my fantasy season on the line.
WAS: Terry McLaurin got rolling once the team went to Jacoby Brissett. Good to see him produce, but doubt that Brissett is starting for this team next week.
SF: Just a reminder than things can go sideways when betting on the 49er pass catchers. They dominate and Kittle/Aiyuk combined for 91 yards with 0 scores. You're playing your guys from this offense, but you have to acknowledge the floor that is involved.
AZ: How many TEs do you prefer to Trey McBride for next season? He and Conner looked good, they are surprisingly reliable for a team I don't think is any good.
