GALAXY BRAIN: Stackin’ Week 14

In this era of offensive football, stacking makes as much sense as ever and the Seahawks remain a reasonably priced triple stack. Yea … the Panthers defense has been fine and yes, they are coming off a bye, but we are talking a highly concentrated aerial attack that will likely be without their star running back. What’s not to like about a Geno/Lockett/Metcalf start? Over the past two weeks, those two receivers are responsible for over 55% of Seattle catches, targets and receiving yards. Carolina has been a blitz heavy defense of late, something that I expect to continue in this spot. Well, Geno is five percentage points in CMP% better than any other QB when it comes to facing the blitz and both of his receivers are more than capable of making a short pass a big play.

You didn’t think I was going to leave you with a single stack, did you? D’Andre Swift out-snapped Jamaal Williams by 15 in Week 13 and is game script agnostic. We are talking about a game with a spread under a FG and a total over 50 … you need at least some exposure to this game as both teams rank faster than league average in pace since the TJ Hockenson trade. Speaking of Hock, he’s my Minnesota side of this game. He ranks second in route rate since joining the Vikes and is in that typical blind spot when it comes to TE pricing. Most people are either paying all the way up for Kelce or looking to punt the position, so I doubt Hockenson carries much ownership in this spot. He has run over 30 routes OR seen multiple red zone targets in all five of his games in purple and gold, a role that is next to impossible to find. With this build and a cheap D/ST, you’re looking at a very manageable $5,500 left per player to fill RB/WR/FLEX. I’m not sure any of these pieces by themselves is unique, but I’m thinking this foundational five isn’t overly common and you’ve still got wiggle room to get even more different if you’d like.
