Week 12 RB Opportunities
Week 12 Team-By-Team Notes
MIN: Jordan Addison had 126 of Sam Darnold's first 150 passing yards (Justin Jefferson: 7 yards). The production was nice, but there's not a second pass catcher I feel good about in this offense next to Jefferson.
CHI: Fat Keenan earned 10+ targets for a third time this season ahd has cleared eight looks in three of his past four games. The opportunities don't carry much in the way of upside, but with all of the receiver injuries, bankable volume is worthy of Flex consideration in most PPR formats.
DET: Jahmyr Gibbs punched in a pair of carries inside the 5-yard line -- if he begins to get those carries on a regular basis, he's in the mix for the top scorer at the position for the rest of the season
IND: Anthony Richardson shows no hesitation when running the ball and as long as he does that, he's going to be on my DFS radar. That said, none of his receivers are ever going to be. He missed Alec Pierce on what could have been an 88-yard score and I'm not spending 3.5 hours on a Sunday banking him making throws.
NE: You mean counting on an average running back in an offense with a versatile, and sporadic, rookie QB comes with risk? Rhamondre Stevensonis far from a must start and that's saying something for a lead back this time of year
MIA: Is Jaylen Waddle back? He accounted for 89 of Tua's first 159 yards against the Patriots. Tyreek Hill only had 10 yards over that stretch ... so be careful in assuming this is sticky.
TB: Having Mike Evans back helped open up a bit of everything for Baker Mayfield. Bucky Irving looks like the real deal in a lot of ways and has worked himself into the RB2 tier moving forward.
NYG: Malik Nabers doesn't see a target in the first half and Devin Singletary gets the short TD -- never underestimate how much chaos ineptitude at the QB position can cause.
DAL: This offense is a mess, but at least they are aware of CeeDee Lamb. The targets don't carry a ton of value, but there's enough of them to justify starting him with confidence.
WAS: Jayden Daniels had the 17-yard rush TD, but he still doesn't look right. Is it the ribs? A rookie wall? It might be a mix of both, but the Week 14 bye could be a God send for managers hoping to ride him to a title in late December.
KC: Patrick Mahomes threw for 206 yards and 2 touchdowns in the first half. Tight ends had a 37.5% target share, so Travis Kelce must have been going nuts, right? Wrong. Noah Gray posted a 4-66-2 in the first 30 minutes.
CAR: You didn't have a Bryce Young/David Moore stack on your radar? There's some growth going on in Carolina and that's good for them -- doesn't matter for us.
TEN: Nick Westbrook-Ikhine scored because that's all he does these days. He's been held out of the end zone just once since the beginning of October ... and I still can't trust him weekly in any capacity.
HOU: CJ Stroud hasn't looked great and that is hurting the game-breaking potential of Nico Collins and, to a lesser degree, Tank Dell. I think better days are ahead (this Tennessee defense is no joke), but he's been underwhelming up to this point and that didn't really change on Sunday.
DEN: Courtland Sutton has become one of the more reliable receivers in our game -- 18+ PPR points in four of his past five games
LV: This run game is a mess, but if Ameer Abdullah is going to be on the field with this sort of regularity, he's going to be a gross Flex option and fine DFS piece more often than not.
SF: George Kittle is QB proof, but the rest of this offense is praying that Brock Purdy is back next week. The team sounds hopeful, but with a losing record, they may not force things.
GB: The Packers did what they had to do to beat the undermanned 49ers and that didn't do much for the pass game.
ARI: This offense just isn't as consistent as we want it to be. Not yet. And probably not for 2024. It'll be interesting to see where Marvin Harrison Jr.'s price settles this summer -- if he falls a few rounds from where it stood this year, I'll be back in.
SEA: Is Jaxon-Smith Njigba the best fantasy receiver in this offense? DK Metcalf is the tougher one to defend in single coverage, but the development of JSN into a target earner stands to elevate his floor to a top-15 level.
