Week 12 Snaps, Injuries, Game Notes
HERE, HAVE SOME MONEY
Because you’re such great people, who realllllly want to help, I’m giving three people $100 (straight cash), who Rate 5-Stars, leave a review (a good one) along with twitter/email in the review on Apple Podcasts over the next few days. If you’ve previously left one, you’re already in the draw, but updating the review will bump you up to the top of the list, thus making it easier for me to see it. It’s ad sales season, so support the show by taking the 30 seconds if you can.
THANKS IN ADVANCE!!!!!

Week 12 Game Notes
Steelers: All touchdowns count the same, and he now has 5 in 5 games, but Pat Freiermuth cutting a late 38-point deficit into in a 31-point deficit wasn’t exactly impact production
- Najee Harris hasn’t gained 30 yards as a receiver since the Week 7 bye and given that efficiency on the ground simply isn’t an option (no more than 3.5 yards per carry in 5 of his past 6) … the best of his rookie season has likely already come and gone
Bengals: Joe Burrow threw multiple TD passes in each of his first 8 games this season … but he has just 2 TD passes total (on 93 attempts) over his past games
Buccaneers: Uncle Lenny scored 4 times in 4 playoff games last season after punching in 3 scores in his final 3 regular season games. With 4 scores in Week 12 against the Colts, is late season Lenny back in our lives?
- The Bucs scored 38 points in a game where neither Chris Godwin nor Mike Evans had a 10+ yard reception … good for them and probably something that will lower the popularity of Tom Brady double stacks moving forward.
Colts: That’s 5 straight games with 5 targets or a touchdown for Jack Doyle … he did both against the Bucs and had nearly as many targets (7) as Mo Alie-Cox had yards (8)
Panthers: DJ Moore had a 64-yard catch on Carolina’s sixth offensive snap. Remove that: 3 catches for 39 yards (on 9 targets)
- As discouraging as that is … Moore had more targets in the game than Cam Newton had completions. Woof
Dolphins: Jaylen Waddle has seen 10+ targets in 3 of his past 5 and posted his first 100-yard game against the Panthers (9 catches for 137 yards)
- The Dolphins DST has scored over 15 fantasy points in 3 of their past 4 … their next two games are at home against the Giants and Jets
Titans: D’Onta Foreman and Dontrell Hilliard combined to run for 240 yards on 31 carries while no Titan surpassed 25 receiving yards … in a game they lost by 23
- The Titans go on bye this week and it’s very possible that no player on this team is a must roster through the off week (though it is worth noting that they host JAX in Week 14)
Patriots: Kendrick Bourne now has a 40-yard catch in 4 of his past 7 games
Eagles: Jalen Hurts has completed 27 of 55 passes over the past 2 weeks, totalling just 276 passing yards, 0 TD and 3 INT
- Yes, mobility can save fantasy days, but he’s nearly 100% relying on it and that’s scary in this scoring friendly era.
Giants: Saquon Barkley ripped off a vintage 32-yard Saquon Barkley run … and in vintage Saquon Barkley fashion, his other 12 carries gained a total of 12 yards.
Falcons: From 2014-2020 (111 games), Cordarrelle Patterson had 11 TDs from scrimmage. This season, in 10 games, he has 9.
Jags: James Robinson has 100 total yards OR a touchdown in each of his past 7 fully healthy games
- Since the Week 7 bye, Laviska Shenault has turned 30 targets into just 135 receiving yards. Internet folk will claim this is Hall of Fame worthy.
Jets: Elijah Moore has at least 6 targets in all 6 games since the bye, but this was the 3rd time over that stretch he couldn’t turn them into 50 receiving yards
Texans: Brandin Cooks’ long second quarter TD was worth more DK points (11) than he had averaged per game the month prior (10.7).
Chargers: That’s now 7 straight (and 10 of 11) games with under 70 rushing yards for Austin Ekeler.
- Mike Williams has failed to score double digit DK points in 5 of his past 6 games (after lighting the world on fire with over 22 in 4 of his first 5 to open the season
Broncos: Is Courtland Sutton a must roster? If you extend his 5 games with Jerry Jeudy active this season for an entire season, we are looking at 27 catches for 371 yards. Again. For an entire season
Rams: Van Jefferson set a season high with 9 targets and in his past 4 games, he’s averaging 23 yards per catch
Packers: AJ Dillon has at least 8 DK points as a pass catcher in 4 straight games
Vikings: Justin Jefferson is the flashy talent, but that’s 6 straight games with 7+ targets for Adam Thielen … and 6 TD catches in those 6 games
- Alexander Mattison’s 5 games since the bye: 20 carries for 47 yards (2.4 YPC)
49ers: Is Brandon Aiyuk the top pass catcher in this offense? Over the past two weeks, Aiyuk has 13 targets and 10 catches.
- In those games: Samuel has 6 targets and 2 catches while Kittle has 6 targets and 5 catches. And now Deebo could be sidelined with this groin issue.
MNF — SEA AT WAS
For the Monday game pick your poison carefully. Rashaad Penny and Travis Homer are both OUT in the Seahawks backfield, leaving Alex Collins and DeeJay Dallas. When Seattle has started to trail over the past six week, Collins has been told to BEAT IT from the game for the passing catching back. If you expect EL FUTBOLS to jump out to a lead, Dallas is likely the option you want of the SEA RBS. If you want any at all, that is.
WATCH: MNF DK Showdown Picks & Props
Ricky Seals-Jones is OUT. It was a nice few weeks, sir. And it appears like Logan Thomas and Curtis Samuel will be active, not certain about how much they’re going to play however. I’m guessing more Thomas than Samuel. But that’s pure speculation based off beat reporters.
TOOLS: RUN THE SIMS SHOWDOWN OPTIMIZER
For DK Showdown I manually adjusted the score to be 28-23 Washington, bumped up DeeJay Dallas to a larger share of the receptions against Collins, and let the simulations take over.
Here are the only lineups which appeared 20 or more times in 10,000 sims.
Not enough McLaurin for my liking tbh.
