Week 11 RB Opportunities
Week 11 Game-By-Game Notes
GB: That's eight straight games with a pick for Jordan Love. He's a version of Brett Favre and while that has the potential to be maddening, it could well pay off in a big way for loyal fantasy managers -- Seahawks, Saints, and Vikings in Weeks 15-17. High risk, high reward. The type of QB I don't mind rostering if I feel that I'm a significant underdog (or setting GPP DFS lineups).
CHI: I'm not sure this is a full-blown committee, but Roschon Johnson continues to get valuable carries. Not just the red zone work, but the team clearly trusts him as he got work with Chicago digging out of some negative field position after a fourth down snap. The downside -- I'm not optimistic that this offense can sustain one back weekly, let alone two.
JAX: This team is gross. Evan Engram is getting enough looks from Mac Jones for PPR managers, but this offense is inept at the highest of levels.
DET: That's 24 straight games with a rush TD for the Lions -- David Montgomery got them there in the first quarter and he now has as many multi-score games this season as scoreless efforts.
MIN: Jordan Addison almost got killed on an end zone target, but he did look good in terms of earning opportunities. I don't mind rostering him if you'd like, but remember that this volume came in a low usage game from TJ Hockenson ... that's not always going to be the case.
TEN: Nick Westbrook-Ikhine scoring in five of six games wasn't on my BINGO card, but he got there ona casual 98-yard score.
LV: The Raiders aren't explosive, but at least they know who they are ... Jakobi Meyers led them in first half rushing yards against the Dolphins while he and Brock Bowers accounted for 67 of their 76 first half receiving yards
MIA: This is De'Von Achane's backfield and that has him ranking as an elite option for the stretch run. Another triple digit day for him and a score ... it's him and Tyreek Hill as the only members of this offense you can trust. Jaylen Waddle has been an afterthought and now needs to show us as opposed to being given the benefit of the doubt.
LAR: Puka Nacua seems to have established himself as the alpha in this offense. He's cleared 95 receiving yards in three of his past four, including putting 117 and a touchdown on the board in the first half against the Patriots.
NE: Drake Maye brings chaos with him and that can result in productive weeks like this against anyone -- of course, there are two sides to that coin. I'll be in on him next year, for the remainder of this season, he's risk/reward.
CLE: Trudy Jeudy got into the fun in the Jameis Winston experience ... it's fun, but ask Cedric Tillman owners how assuming greatness goes when banking on this offense.
NO: Taysom Hill was pretty clear a part of the plan (first half: two passes, two carries, seven receptions), but two turnovers hurt his fantasy impact. If he is going to be used like this moving forward, he can be a week winner.
IND: Josh Downs might just be that dude. We were worried about his skill set meshing with Anthony Richardson, but he looked good when targeted in this spot (fourth quarter touchdown with the stretch was great to see).
NYJ: Breece Hall records his first career game with both a touchdown rush and reception
BAL: This is why we don't trust Mark Andrews. Isaiah Likely made the big play and the targets were spread out across the board. The veteran TE can be started, but acting like he is anything close to the past version of himself is bananas.
PIT: George Pickens with Russell Wilson is what we wanted Garrett Wilson with Aaron Rodgers to be. He's an auto-start and a crazy bargain moving forward based on the price you paid this summer.
ATL: Kyle Pitts disappeared, as did most of this offense. Nothing really changes -- no worries about Bijan Robinson when things are competitive and Drake London still led the team in targets, even in a blowout.
DEN: How about Bo Nix? Might he already be what we want Drake Maye to develop into? Five incompletions, four touchdowns, including a late score that didn't really need to be to push him over the 300-yard bonus. Courtland Sutton is his clear WR1, but the ability to spread the wealth is promising long term (three other Broncos saw 4+ targets)
SEA: Jaxon Smith-Njigba came up clutch down the stretch and showed no limitations in playing alongside a heavily used DK Metcalf. Could JSN be the top Seahawk receiver in drafts as early as next season?
SF: Jauan Jennings worked ahead of Ricky Bullets and was the clear alpha in an offense that includes Deebo Samuel. Some of his volume was due to the absence of George Kittle, but he's a weekly starter without much hesitation.
KC: Isiah Pacheco is expected to return this week and that might make this backfield tough to trust in the short term. My early impression is to have Kareem Hunt ranked higher for Week 12, but Pacheco should be that guy for the fantasy playoffs.
BUF: I'm not fully buying Curtis Samuel, but that's nice usage in consecutive games. This is still a Shakir-Cooper-Coleman offense when at full strength ... Add if you want, but I don't think he's a start moving forward in most leagues.
