Week 10 RB Opportunity
Week 10 Team By Team Notes
NE: Good luck counting on anyone in this offense. Drake Maye is probably more valuable to fantasy managers than the Patriots at this point, but with his targets never going the same direction, you can't justify holding any of them as we get to the second half of the fantasy season.
CHI: Remember in August when we thought this offense could sustain three receivers? I don't want any of them near starting lineups. D'Andre Swift is going to be hit-and-miss -- talented, but if defenses aren't respecting the pass, there's only so much he can do.
BUF: Mack Hollins making plays was fun, but when this team is healthy, he's on the field, but not a productive part of fantasy society.
IND: Jonathan Taylor cashed our Underdog ticket with ease in the first half (107 rushing yards). It's him and Josh Downs in this offense. Everyone wants to make Adonai Mitchell happen and Michael Pittman (back) when healthy carries preseason priors with him ... don't care. Taylor and Downs every week, no one else ever.
DEN: Bo Nix is still a raw product, but he's impressive. As a rookie, he's learning to scramble while looking downfield -- this kid may not be the pedigree of a Daniels or Williams, but he's going to make fantasy noise on a reasonably consistent basis.
KC: I'd say Xavier Worthy can be cut -- he just can't earn targets and the looks he gets aren't the efficient ones. Enjoy the Kareem Hunt run as long as you can .. Isiah Pacheco is due back in a few weeks and that could make this a mess.
ATL: Tyler Allgeier is doing his part for the stock of Bijan Robinson. He failed to score three times from the one-yard line before Atlanta wised up and let Robinson handle things. Hopefully this opens up elite Robinson usage at the perfect time for fantasy managers.
NO: You didn't have this penciled in as the MVS week? Derek Carr throws a soft deep ball and that's great, but this team has zero WR depth these days and if MVS earned himself extra defensive attention with a pair of touchdowns, I have no problem writing this off as just a weird week.
SF: Ricky Bullets gets into the end zone while Jauan Jennings continues to earn targets. I lean Jennings the rest of the way, but believe both are roster worthy given the efficiency of this offense.
TB: Rachaad White got the TD reception and he continues to be a weird one. He's the fantasy play over Bucky Irving because of the volume in the pass game and red zone usage -- even if you think he's the lesser talent.
PIT: The knock on George Pickens was never his talent, but rather his buy-in. The dude is running hard these days and that gives him stable WR2 value moving forward.
WAS: Austin Ekeler is nothing like the peak version of himself, but he still knows how to convert short touchdowns and that's enough in this offense as long as Brian Robinson is sidelined. The touch ceiling is never going to be there, but there's enough TD equity to feel fine about him when he holds the lead role.
MIN: I said it during the week and even I didn't see regression coming for Sam Darnold like this. Justin Jefferson is going to be fine and TJ Hockenson should be too, but there isn't a WR2 worth rostering in any format
JAX: This Mac Jones world is not a world in which I want to live. I don't think every week is going to be like this, mainly because I don't think they remain competitive like this. Brian Thomas is a risky Flex option moving forward, the backfield is a mess ... Evan Engram is a TE starter and he's the only one I'm counting on.
TEN: Will Levis was good by his standards. For us, him funneling 39% of his targets the way of Calvin Ridley was good to see.
LAC: Gus Edwards was back (10 carries for 55 yards) and Justin Herbert was awfully willing to run. JK Dobbins may have played a big part in you having a winning record -- I'm not sure he's going to be a reason why you win it all.
PHI: It's no fun to have DeVonta Smith. You have no idea when these land mines are going to come. There's nothing actionable, you're playing him weekly, but I feel your pain.
DAL: Defenses can't slow CeeDee Lamb, but Cooper Rush is more than capable. I think Lamb will be fine as long as he's healthy, but you can't be betting on any other Cowboy.
NYJ: Davante Adams got the volume and did nothing with it. This team has three star skill guys and there are going to be more weeks where none of them pay off than weeks where multiple pay off. How lucky do you feel?
ARI: Kyler Murray sets a franchise record for consecutive completions. It was good to see an efficient Marvin Harrison Jr. day, though I think we still will get ups and downs from him the rest of the way. Trey Benson should be rostered everywhere already, but that's the exact type of stash that is good for the stretch run.
