Week 1 RB Snaps
EXCLUSIVE EARLY LINK: Week 2 PME DK Listeners League
TB: Fournette 76% | White 27%
DAL: Zeke 58% | Pollard 55%
Week 1 Game Notes
Saints: It was only 5 touches, but 5 touches a week from Taysom Hill puts him on the TE radar. Especially when you consider the valuable snaps he gets near the goal line. Untraditional … but valuable.
Falcons: I thought C-Patt was going to regress? He got 92% of the ATL RB carries and still saw his 5 targets. You don’t have to believe in his talent or the offense … that sort of role makes it hard to fail.
Bears: David Montgomery ranked third on this team in rushing yards … and first in targets. Tried to tell you this would be ugly … and that’s in a win.
49ers: Including the playoffs, that’s now 6 straight games with under 5 catches for the running back that catches some passes and NOT the receiver that runs the ball … Deebo Samuel
Steelers: Did we overlook the Steelers as a concentrated offense? FIRE mouth and Diontae Johnson combined for a 59.5% target share against the Bengals.
Bengals: 7 targets and a touchdown for Tyler Boyd. He’s boring, but he’s a cheap way to get exposure for what we expect to be a top offense.
Eagles: 4 Eagles carries the ball … 4 Eagles ran for a score. Sanders looked good and finally found the end zone, but his upside is as capped as any lead back in the league.
Lions: D’Andre Swift set a career high in rushing touchdowns and caught all of his targets … and fantasy managers were left wanting more. Jamaal Williams vulture a pair of short TDs. If that doesn’t happen, we are debating if he has the potential to be the overall RB1 this season.
Patriots: They were trailing for the majority of the game, making this as positive a game script as you’ll find for the pass game … no Patriot had more than 6 targets or 55 receiving yards.
Dolphins: Tyreek Hill had 3 more catches than any other Dolphin had targets.
Ravens: Devin Duvernay doubled his career TD total on his 4 targets against the Jets. Bateman got bailed out with the 55-yard TD, but all pass catchers in this offense are risky, which is why the Likely hype was always going to be dangerous.
Jets: Michael Carter saw 9 targets, the third time he’s done that in his young career. Zach Wilson has not led the team in passing in any of those games.
Jags: James Robinson is only going to feel better the further he distances himself from the Achilles tear. I think. I thought the same thing about Cam Akers, but I’m trusting the process. He earned an exact 50-50 snap share with Etienne. Might be a backfield that sneaky has no consistent value.
Commanders: Antonio Gibson had 65 receiving yards in the first half. He only had two GAMES in his career prior to Sunday with even 40 receiving yards)
Browns: In 40% of their games together, BOTH Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt have finished as top-25 RBs. Lineup locks, as awkward as it may feel.
Panthers: Robbie Anderson led this team in targets. Nice for Mr. Crazy headshot, but a serious concern for DJ Moore, a guy who refuses to score and relies on volume. Be careful.
Colts: 50 passes for Matty Ice and Pittman was the only Colt with over 50 receiving yards. Legit threat to lead the league in catches/targets … the Colts aren’t going to lead as often as they did last season
Texans: Sex Rex Burkhead led the Texans in rushing attempts and rushing yards. That said … they ran 28 times and none of those runs gained more than 8 yards. I still think Pierce is the guy, but the upside isn’t as high as you want it to be.
Giants: Prior to the Week 5 injury, Saquon had consecutive games with 50 rushing yards, rush TD and 5 catches. The injury limited him … he returned to that form with a HUGE Week 1.
Titans: Dontrell Hilliard had exactly 0 TD receptions in his career prior to Week 1. Not worried about that, but his production did seem to eliminate the minimal growth we saw from Derrick Henry as a pass catcher last season pre-injury.
Packers: Six times last season, Davante Adams had a 37+ yard catch. In the first game with him playing for a different organization, the Packers didn’t have a player go over 37 receiving yards until the final garbage time drive with Jordan Love.
Vikings: How does a 66.4% receiving yardage share for Justin Jefferson sound? His longest catch was 28 more yards than any other Viking had for the entire game.
Chiefs: Patrick Mahomes now has 7 career games with at least 5 pass TDs and 300 pass yards. Only 3 players have more such games … since Mahomes was born!
Cardinals: Another game with a rush TD and at least 5 catches for James Conner. He had a league-high 4 such games in the second half of last season
Raiders: Safe to say the college connection narrative is real and spectacular. Davante Adams recorded a 45.5% reception share and a 48.6% target share in his first pro game with Derek Carr.
Chargers: Justin Herbert passed for 279 yards, 3 TDs and led Geoff’s Bolts to a big win. I know Keenan Allen got hurt, but not a single Charger had 5 targets. They are explosive, but they are also deep and that could be an issue for DFS stackers moving forward.
