Valero Golf, Masters, and Upcoming Stuff
What's happening at Mayo Media Network
Thanks for subscribing to the newsletter, we appreciate it. I’ll be attaching photos and sizes of the official Masters gear in next week’s newsletter to see if there’s one you want in the group.
VALERO TEXAS OPEN
All the Valero shows are all out for the week. You can find them up on MMN’s YouTube Channel (Sub to the channel!!!) and on the PME Podcast feeds.
The morning wind gusts in San Antonio made me a build a few DraftKings lineups exclusively from the afternoon Thursday tee times. I played my first round leaders from that wave as well, and if you were thinking about DraftKings Round One Showdown, that’s probably the play. Still, it’s the weather, so it’s still a crap shoot. I’ve been using this wind tower if you wanted to track it later into the evening or early morning before getting your lineups in.
OTHER GOLF STUFF
Me and Rasa did a first look show for the Masters DraftKings Pricing, if you missed it. Next week I plan to go Friday-Friday for Masters programming, so STRAP IN!!!! It will conclude with he LIVE CUT SWEAT show on Friday. Always one of the most fun shows of the year. I’m guessing it’ll start around 430pm ET that Friday if the weather complies and doesn’t cause a delay. That’d be crappy.
If you wanted the cheapest way to get in on Fantasy National, and you’re reading this on Wednesday, the weekly membership will get you access to the stats and tools for Valero and take you through next Wednesday for the Masters. You get 20% all memberships at https://www.fantasynational.com/mayo so a weekly is $7.
There’s also a new One and Done league for all us jabronis who are already cooked in the other one. This one starts at the Masters and gets through the British Open. It’s $100 to play ($5.88 per week for the 17 events) but there’s only 1150 spots and over 300 are already gone. I’d except it to fill quickly. Get your spot here — https://fantasygolfchampionships.shgn.com/. I’m in, so that’s dead money to begining with.
I’m making a BIG PUSH to get a bunch of Apple Podcast reviews starting on Sunday. I’ll be doing a few $100 giveaways for everyone who does it, and with your support on this one, The PME may be able to vault to No. 1 on the Fantasy/Betting charts. If you’ve done it before, can’t hurt to do it again. Put a twitter account or email in the review so I can contact you if you win!
Here’s the Link to do it: http://bit.ly/PMEiTunes
Keep and eye open for the Masters DK listener league too. I’m guessing it fills super fast, and I’m trying to have the link ready to dump in the first Masters show this weekend. Heads up.
The MLB season starts Thursday and Mayo Media Network has a NEW SHOW if you care about that sort of thing.
If you’re playing DraftKings or betting on MLB, the FTN MLB Package is the move. The package is all year long and actually includes the optimizer and all the tools with the price. Most optimizers by the themselves are more than $200 per year, and this one is just thrown in as a part of the deal. Code “MAYO” at checkout gets you 20% OFF, which takes the price from $249.99 to $199.99 for the season. So ~$30/month. That discount only lasts til April 4 btw. I’m pretty certain it drops from 20% to 10% after that date. You’d think I’d know the details on things like this, but I forget things pretty quickly if I don’t write them down, Which I didn’t.
Along with the FTN guys, I went through how to use these tools to make MLB easy if you’re interested.
The daily show, Fantasy Baseball Picks and Bets on MMN starts going every day (Except Sundays) starting Wednesday evening. Get the vids on MMN’s YouTube Page to sun to the audio podcast here:
The plan is to have it released by midnight the night before, making it available for you when wake up in the morning, and to keep it to 15 minutes per show go it’s easily digestible. Plus, Garion is involved. Who doesn’t love Garion?
Prize Picks is sponsoring that show, so go make an account there if you haven’t already. It’s shockingly a lot of fun. Meaney has been crushing the NHL version of Prize Picks, and most sports are up there. Basically, it’s just over/under on Fantasy Point Props. Super Simple.
It’s not available in every state or outside North America as of yet, but you should give it a try. Our link is here (https://bit.ly/PPMMNMLB) and if you use CODE “MMNMLB” they’ll match up to $100 on your first deposit. The gang on the baseball show is going to give their Prize Pick of the day for baseball, so if nothing else, it’s pretty low stakes to play along.
(FYI Prize Picks golf is super beatable and they may have some easy money up for grabs for the Masters. Again CODE “MMNMLB” on the deposit page for a match.)
And if you really want to get into MLB Bets, Meaney and John Laghezza did both an AL Win Totals and Awards show, along with its National League counterpart that are already out if you wanna check those out.
The Kevin Na debate didn’t get Geoff as triggered as I would have hoped on Monday’s show, but it got close enough to make me laugh when I watched it back.
Here’s Cust lying about his 40-Yard Dash time from when we were at the Super Bowl. He also unleashed this horrendous Easter take Wednesday as well.
I don’t know where he comes up with this stuff.
Last Chance to get in the FREE Challenge: ALL STARS PME Fantasy League. (https://bit.ly/AllStarsFantPME). Season starts Thursday on the Paramount Plus streaming service. Me and Rob McIntyre did a season and Fantasy Breakdown for the cast.
We’re filming the Custy Awards soon. Thanks everyone for voting. If you’re ever looking to binge content and you’ve run out. The Cust Corner only feed is operational. I’m still in the process of making it completely up to date, but the first 18 episodes are up there now.
We’re starting a Gambling Movie Club and doing shows on it. The first movie on the list is Owning Mahowny, the 2003 Philip Seymour Hoffman joint if you want to get ahead of the game. We may be doing a GIANT Bond rewatch too if any cares.
We’re thinking about doing an all-mail bag episode of Cust Corner, or maybe one where you can ZOOM in and ask Cust your question directly. Let me know if there’s interest in that.
After a rough start to 2021, Cody Saftic is back destroying UFC bets again. Paul too, I suppose. I’m not lying when I say follow Cody’s bets because it gives you enough bankroll to sustain the losses with me. The Dog or Pass Podcast is off this week with UFC taking a bye, but they’ll be back soon. Watch the vids on MMN or sub to the audio version of the show.
