PICKS
Collin Morikawa +2200 — My good friends at Coolbet were very generous with Morikawa’s opening number (They’re still hanging a +2000 as of Monday night if you’re still looking.) Once my favorite player bet on TOUR, I’ve been off Kawa for some time now. But like anyone in recovery, there’s bound to be a relapse or two. And he sucked me back in at the US Open. After floundering with his game after gagging away Bay Hill, Morikawa’s irons returned, BIGLY, at Oakmont. He was best in the field by almost three strokes on approach. He just happened to lose -8.8 on the greens. The last five times he’s lost at least 2.5 strokes in a tournament he’s gained at least 2.7 in his following start.
Justin Thomas +3000 — I was all set to fold on JT this week despite looking good in my numbers for TPC River Highlands. Then, a 3 popped up in front of his name. I’m not made of stone. Despite a downturn in his iron play recently, getting back to a track that focuses on wedges should help rectify that. And we know the putter is insanely hot or cold. It’d be a good time to fuse those thins together.
Sepp Straka +3300 & Shane Lowry +4500 — Their US Opens were about the same. Both gained significantly off the tee and on approach in their limited time at Oakmont and were complete disasters on and around the greens. Lowry isn’t usually brutal from green side and should get back to normal at an easier venue, and Straka’s putting was almost 9 strokes worse than his previous start. Since they both blew up on a big stage, it’s helping their numbers a bit against a weaker field.
Hoge +10000 (8 Places) & Bridgeman +12500 (8 Places) — Two of the better wedge players in the field, fingers crossed one can convert their birdie chances when they hit it to 13-feet. Both will be first round leader players as well.
WEATHER
Things look a tad gusty the first two days, but with the later starts because the small field, most of the players will have to play in some kind of wind. You can build in sets if you like, but I didn’t think there was any sort of obvious advantage after scanning the tee times.

DRAFTKINGS
Looking like another “Do you have the guts to fade Scottie” week as he’s projected in the 35-40% range for Travelers. Likely even higher in higher stakes. From the 8K and above pricing — Rory, Ludvig, Burns, Spaun, Spieth, and Hideki are all projected far less than their peers. With Scottie, Keegan, and Griffin standing out as above them. I talked through different Scottie builds and roster construction with Tambo Wednesday. Spoiler: I like Hideki and Spieth in the low 8s if you can make that work.
Travelers Championship 2025 DraftKings Picks & Lineups
If you need to go scumming the bottom to make lineups work, here are the six $6K guys I filtered through my lineups. Ownership is tough in this range, but it seems like Cauley is trending up in popularity with Novak, Gerard and Hoge also trending above the rest of the range in ownership.
