THURSDAY PICK’EM
Based on the advanced weather report. Rain early in the week and partially Wednesday should soften up the course a but for ideal conditions Thursday. Of course the forecast can flip with little notice, but scoring should be at its easiest Thursday. Plus, I got Rasa to help me put this one together.

PGA CHAMPIONSHIP BETS
BROOKS KOEPKA — Since the PGA of America decided to set their courses to mimic US Opens, Brooks has been the safest bet to contend on the board. Like four others this week, he enters off a win and is peaking at the exact time he does every year.
WATCH: Final Bets, Weather, One and Done
MAX HOMA — If you followed the seed trail, you could see I was looking for reasons to bet Homa after Monday’s post. Homa has cleaned up at difficult, long courses this year and enters with consecutive Top 10 in Majors, the first two Top 10s in Majors of his career. And, sometimes, when you bet someone, it’s nice knowing they can always bail themselves out with their putter if need be. There’s peace of mind to that.
WYNDHAM CLARK — I bet him at 66 on a future in February, and frankly, I’m stunned to see his number so large still this week. I’d bet it at 45 or 50 right now if I didn’t already have a position. You want bombers with a short game who can put. That’s Clark. The guy who has won three times in the past 12 months with a bunch of runners up in high end events to Scheffler. But no, by all means, bet Patrick Cantlay at a worse price.
HIDEKI MATSUYAMA — If he doesn’t WD last week, he’s probably 40/45 this week. But he did so he’s 75. He’s won at a Jack course at Muirfield, he’s won at the Zoo with zoysia fairways/bent greens before as well. And a pre tourney WD does’t hurt you in the betting market.
SAHITH THEEGALA — I think I want this to happen more than I think it’s actually going to happen at this point. But I was happy they let me cash out my future at 66/1 for equal $$$ only to bet it at 85.
WILL ZALATORIS — Zalatoris has played in five tournaments in 2024 which resemble Valhalla in terms of field, length and difficulty : Quail Hollow, Augusta, RIV, Bay Hill, and Torrey Pines. He was quite horrible at Quail a week ago, but holds T4, 2nd, T9, and T13 finishes in the others. Two bad weeks since The Masters has crushed his betting number and I’ll gladly scoop it up. Zalatoris trails only Scheffler and Rory in SG: TOTAL per round at Major championships over the past three years. It’s how he has Top 10s in six of his past eight Major starts.
KEEGAN BRADLEY — As a former Wanamaker hoister in decent form, it’s weird to see him priced behind some players who have absolutely no chancer of winning. Good by me. Over 50% of PGA Championship winners have been repeat champions in the past 30 years, and Keegan hasn’t been bad as you may think. A lousy driver the last month has thrown some otherwise good numbers in the trash. After a Top 25 finish at the Masters, Keegan has gained over four strokes on approach in each of his past two starts, both elevated events. The putter has reverted to bad Keegan, but he’s one of the few players in the field who can lose 5 strokes one week and gained 5 the next. TO MAKE THE CUT PARLAY
Initially, I wasn’t going to do this because I tend to reserve this exclusively for The Masters because of the cut rules and field strength. But after winning 84/1 and 40/1 parlays at Augusta on this kind of bet, people DEMANDED I bring it back.
So, THIS is the official MAYO CUT PARLAY
If you wanna get frisky, here’s the more aggressive one

WEATHER
We’ll see how the rain creeps into the forecast throughout the week, but as mentioned on almost everything I’ve done this week, Thursday looks like the scoring day. Softer course from some rain early in the week, and almost no wind to speak of. Doens’t mean it’s going to be easy, but likely easier than the other days. The Forecasted rain Friday shouldn’t delay the play unless lightning pops up; the wind gusts appear to be doubled Friday over Thursday.
While you may wave stack regardless, there isn’t a notable PM or AM advantage I can see atm. Saturday may be washed out tho.

Tambo and I talked through many different lineup builds on the show, including starting with Scheffler. Then with Rory. Then With Brooks. Then with a balanced build to see how you can make these slightly different the common way most are going to build.
