I promise I won’t flood your inbox to this extent every week, but it’s Masters week, so I figured this is when people would want info. Check out yesterday’s post to see the pics for the Masters Swag giveaways. Me and Fienberg are going to draw the winners LIVE on Friday’s Cut Sweat show (if we don’t get rained out), so if you are one of the three winners, have in mind which item you’d like to draft.
REMEMBER: Play in the new One and Done contest that runs from Masters to British Open. 3-Max, $100 to play and $10K to the winner. We gotta get this filled as it’s a terrible look for me if it doesn’t. And, this site probably won’t give me a platform to host some awesome NFL contests I want to get started this year. Help us out over here. And the Listener’s League is already full, so you may as well waste that money elsewhere.
You have til 11am ET to get in on the Podcast review Millionaire Maker ticket draw too. Leave a 5 star review on the PME podcast on Apple Podcasts (HERE), along with your twitter handle or email address and you can win one of ten $10 Milly Maker entries or get staked in the $100 DK Milly Maker.
I’m also running a Twitter lottery for 50 Milly Maker tickets, but the chances of winning that one are pretty slim tbh. And I’m not doing the drawing for that one. DraftKings is.
MASTERS LIVE CHAT
The PME Final Betting Card, DK Ownership and LIVE Chat is GOOOOOO at 12pm ET on the Mayo Media Network. Set a reminder so you don’t forget about. If you can’t make it LIVE and you can catch it on-demand on YouTube and the podcast feeds, but if you have a question (preferably a non-stupid question), leave it in the comment section on YouTube and I’ll get to them all around 8pm ET that night.
Ask you question. Have me answer. Do the opposite. PRINT MONEY

BETTING CARD
Somehow I’ve resisted the urge to make any more bets. I’m proud of myself. I’ve scanned the first round leader market and the cut odds, and I’ll definitely have a few of those my Wednesday, but I’m still searching for someone else I like to add to bet. It’s one of these situations where I have so many people close in my mind that it’s tough to pick one. And I certainly can’t bet them all. I’ll eventually make that decision and choose… poorly.
I’ve begun to get scared about Brooks. Mainly after I saw this…
I won’t let it deter me, though. As I’ve already made the wagers and can’t cash them out. I kid. This was always a part of getting Brooks at those long odds. My course insider tells me Brooks doesn’t appear to have any limitations with his swing, and really, that’s what matter. I do worry about the many elevation changes on each hole wearing him down over the week. Give the guy a cart!
These are the betting splits so far from DraftKings Sportsbook as of Noon on Tuesday. I hope to have a bigger breakdown in tomorrow evening’s update, but this is where people are wasting their money so far.
I’m actually kinda surprised Morikawa is garnering so much interest. I mean, he’s amazing, so that part makes sense, but it’s curious to see bettors rush to take him yet leave Big Dik Vik along at a longer number. Maybe it’s me, but I really do think Hovland’s game is a better fit for Augusta National than Morikawa.
There hasn’t been very much movement in the betting market either. I’d expect some of the +3000 to +5000 to loosen up a bit Wednesday if the books aren’t taking much action on certain guys. Which guys will that be? No fucking clue. Have to wait and see, I guess.
I did see these H2Hs on DraftKings Sportsbook that I found intriguing. Hatton is either going to make people rich fading him or win someone the Millionaire Maker if he comes inside the Top 5.
Those two together pay +298. I’d play it myself, but I don’t have access to DK Sportsbook in Canada. Go figure.
One thing I play is Prize Picks. Essentially it’s just over/under single players on their rounds parlayed together. I’ve been playing the golf for a couple weeks now and it’s been pretty beatable. And that’s saying a lot from a guy who does nothing but lose.
If you sign up for Prize Picks with this link. And enter code “MMNMLB” you’ll get a match on your deposit up to $100. Remember, UNDER is a better score on the course in golf. Here’s what I played for Round one.
WEATHER
Still using the Daniel Field weather station to track the weather, GOOD NEWS, at least for the cut sweat show, it seems like there’s going to be far less rain Friday than was expected yesterday. I can’t wait to see what reversal the weather has in store come Wednesday.
DK OWNERSHIP
If you’re not a Fantasy National member yet? Weird. But here’s a link to get 20% off your membership so you don’t have to live in shame anymore. Get on that, because you can just search what the other members are doing in the ownership projections. Obviously, the longer you wait to check the more accurate they’re going to be, but I think it’s pretty clear Jordan Spieth is going to be the highest owned player in the Milly Maker. And there’s a chance it’s not even close. I’m guessing he’ll finish over 30%.
I’d like to tell you I’m a hero and am going full fade. But I don’t have the stones for it. I think he’s going to play well, and I’m really trying my hardest this week not to talk myself out of the players I like. Of the 27 Milly Maker lineups I’ve entered so far, SPEEF is on 11 of them. Why 27, you ask? Because I got bored taking a shit and just started entering.
I’ll have some (hopefully) more accurate guesses by the show tomorrow, but I’m thinking Spieth, Thomas, Casey, Conners, and maybe Berger will be the five highest own by the time lock comes around. Of that group I’m playing Spieth, Thomas, and Daniel “Oh no, the briefcase isn't even ours. Some lady left in the airport, we're just taking it back to her. How's your” Berger.
STATS
Some people tweet nonsense things at me all the time. I usually mute them. But I do very much appreciate when there’s actionable info steered in my direction. My guy PGA Splits 101. He’s been doing some very good work this week. There’s a bunch of great info up in his feed but these ones caught my attention.
Obviously this makes a lot of sense to target this sort of ball flight on approach if you want the ball to hold. Now, high ball flight on approaches and accurate approach aren’t exclusive. They still need to be good shots. Then, there was this.
I’m not sure how much to read into this, and while Bryson is an obvious contender for both lists, Matt Wallace surprised me. As someone who has played Wallace in every event he’s sucked in for the last two years, and faded him whenever he’s been great, I think he’s a very viable option at $6,400.
More so after what he did last week.
We’ve seen him win in Europe, so he can handle the pressure, he kind of reminds me of Willett, just not as far along in his game. Even though I’m betting Fitzpatrick to win, Wallace at +1100 as Top Brit is kind of enticing. The thing I think I like the most is how up and down his game is. People should be terrified he’s an absolute disaster this week, but he’s one of the few $6K DraftKings guys, or even long shot bets that has the ability to gain quite substantially against the field all the way up to the green. And it’s not like he’s been an awful putter in his career. He’s actually been above average, so maybe he’s been saving that pop week for Augusta?
Plus, much like how Justin Thomas has improved in each start at Augusta in his career, so has Wallace.
If you don’t know that’s a joke, please, unsubscribe now. And yes, I’m using Wallace this week in my lineups, so you’ll probably want to fade. And fuck it, I’ll probably bet him too.
Finally, as pointed out by Lukas Peterson, what happened to the narrative that the winner of the Dubai Desert Classic was an auto bet for The Masters? It worked with Willett and Sergio. I guess it went away after Hao Tong and Lucas Herbert the last two years. It is a feather in the cap for Paul Casey backers, though.
Back to Back Top 10s the past two years for Bobby Mac btw.
